Crosshaven

Crosshaven is a picturesque, traditional village nestled at the western entrance of Cork Harbour and situated at the mouth of the Owenabue River. One’s first impression of Crosshaven is a memorable vista of yachts at the harbour.

Crosshaven is a major international sailing centre and a favourite summer resort for Cork residents since Victorian times, offering all the popular entertainments of a seaside resort. This seaside village that is home to the worlds oldest yacht club and many water based activities are enjoyed here including fishing, sailing and swimming.

Other land-based activities are also available with a number of beautiful walks and leisure activities. There is a pitch and putt course, tennis club, rugby pitches, soccer and GAA facilities as well an active walking group.

Still, this picturesque coastal resort is wonderfully undeveloped and un-commercialised, and you can relax easily in its friendly, unsophisticated atmosphere.
